Across more than 40 years in travel I’ve sailed everything from intimate all-suite ships to 5,000-passenger megaliners, and every one of them has something that makes it special. I take all of that and use it to make your cruise special too — whether it’s your first or your fiftieth.

My love affair with the sea started back when ships and itineraries were quite limited — the cruise industry’s infancy. As the industry expanded, the gypsy in my soul came out and Europe became one of my favourite destinations. I’ve since wandered off the beaten path on river cruises and discovered villages lost in time. Call me to chart a course of adventure — I love sharing what I’ve learned about ships, shore excursions and the quaint hotels in between.

Anyone remember Braniff Airlines? That was my first venture into the “glamorous” world of travel — cut short in 1982 when they were grounded. Fast-forward to 1985 and Cruise Escapes was up and running. The time has flown by (it does when you’re having fun). Along the way I’ve gotten married, raised twin sons, and been part of an exciting profession that has grown and changed by leaps and bounds. And my favourite cruise? The one I just got back from.
